Geek alert, geek alert!
A few months ago I started my own hobby podcast. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while and this year I finally took the plunge.
I’ve been into tabletop gaming and model building since I was 12 or 13 years of age and it’s a hobby which has been a companion ever since. I wanted to talk about disability in the hobby a bit and get other people with disabilities involved by talking about their story, how they make and paint models, play games and work around their disabilities.
Ultimately, the show is a normal hobby podcast focused mainly on Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40000, Age Of Sigmar, Necromunda and Inquisitor games with discussions about what we’ve been up to in terms of games, modelling and painting. We talk about new releases, books and all that good stuff as well as having an additional interest in hearing from hobbyists from around the world who also happen to have disabilities.
I am the host and have a crew of 4 other chaps who regularly contribute to the show, we also have guest interviews. I record, edit and produce the episodes myself and it has been quite the learning curve getting to grips with the process, I thoroughly enjoy it though.
Episodes are released around the last weekend of every month. This months is a corker as I managed to get an interview with a Black Library author!
